War on terror is the ongoing battle between terrorism and counter-terrorism efforts by the various countries. It can be said that war on terror is an approach to terrorism that is considered as a war even though it does not have the characteristics of a typical war. It is more of a global approach rather than a national approach. This basically started after the attack of 9/11 when the whole world realized that terrorism is more than just simple domestic attacks. This term was first coined by the Bush administration who faced the 9/11 attack and decided to form some extreme counter terrorism strategies to address the growing terrorism risks
